March 2007

- Rob and his Radical feature again in the Wilts and Glos Standard with a full colour photo and write up on the race at Brands Hatch. We expect this to be the first of many this year, if you'd like to see your company on the car and in the Standard then get intouch.
- The full race report from Brands Hatch is here, and the latest installment of the race diary is now online here.
- We couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. After many many many hours of hard work over the winter it was all paid off at Brands Hatch. Rob put the Radical on pole position some 1.8seconds ahead of the next Radical. The race started off damp and Rob stuck with slicks. The rain came down half way through the race which gave the advantage to the wet tyre shod cars and Rob dropped to 3rd place. This was still a fantastic result and one we hope to repeat through the year. - We have been invited along to the Lotus Celebration at Brands Hatch, the race is open to all types of cars so it should be entertaining to watch. It will also give us some idea how the car goes in race conditions before we start the Castle Combe Championship. - The Radical is almost complete now, a few small jobs to do before we hit the test track on the 12th March. Expectations are high for the new engine but there is also a lot of nerves around the garage as well. - Testing at Silverstone was a interesting affair. Most of the morning was lost due to brake issues and when we did finally get on track the car was dogged by fuel starvation issues. On the bright side the engine was strong and the cars handling doesn't seem adversely affected by the extra power. We now have to work very hard to get the car ready for the 24th and Brands Hatch.
