- Llandow victory! Rob takes another class win after a battle with fellow Elise owner Hugh Trotman. The day was complete by taking another class record, second of this year.
- Brentwaters was a new venue for Rob and the day started with a very wet morning. Unfortunately the operating club don't give any opportunity to drive the track so the first time you get to see it is at racing speed. I think we have been spolit by the Bristol Motor club course setups as Brentwaters just wasn't in the same league. This meant learning the track was made a lot more difficult. First practice was wet and Rob got to practice his 100mph reversing technique, good job it was just a practice. Second practice, now dry, Rob again worked on his rapid reversing which was rapidly becoming an expert at....this isn't turning into a great day. On the first timed run Rob concentrated on just getting the car around the track with out scaring the marshals again. The time put Rob straight into 2nd place behind a Caterham Superlight, which to be honest the Elise is no match for. 2nd timed run was very wet again so no one improved on their times. Not the best day but somehow we got a reasonable result, roll on Llandow next week! - The newly published championship table sees Rob a clear 27 points clear of 2nd place, Simon Clemlow. This is a great start to the season and lets hope we can keep the momentum going - Rob has managed to get a last minute entry ot a Borough 19 sprint at Brentwaters this weekend. He will be in a open class up against he friend, Greg Lock, driving his supercharged Lotus Exige. Should be a interesting day, just hope the rain stops!
