- Victory at Combe. Rob took another class win and class record at Castle Combe in the Dick Mayo Sprint. Although it was a tough day as he had stiff competition from 2 other hi power Elise's. After first practice Rob trailed the leader by just over a second, although his time was under last years class record. The car in first place was vastly more powerful than Robs car but this didn't deter Rob. First timed run and Rob put in a fantastic 71.06, this was 6/10ths quicker than the class record, more importantly it was with a 1/10th of a second off the leaders best time. With this time Rob was more confident that he could beat the first place car, as it was he didn't get the opportunity to find this out as the first place car made a mistake coming out of Old Paddock and nudged the barrier causing them to retire. Not the best way of winning but as they say, a win is a win. - The next event is back at Castle Combe, Rob is hoping for another class win but he is up against stiff opposition. Full entry list here
