 Rob Clarke

Rob Clarke

As an enthusiast, Rob owned Lotus Elise's for almost 8 years, 6 of which was the limited edition Elise Sport 160.  He completed most work on the car himself from engine maintenance through to suspension set-up.

Robs motorsport activity stretches back to 1997 when he used to race a Honda CB500 motorcycle in the national series.  During this time Rob notched up a number of top 5 finishes.  In 1998 he took delivery of the Elise and started attending trackdays, which has seen him drive at the majority of the major tracks in the UK.  2004 saw Rob return to competitive motorsport in the form of Sprinting and Hill Climbs.  He is a member of the Bristol Motor Club and in the 2004 championship he finished an impressive 4th out of some 50 competitors.  During the 2004 season Rob notched up three 1st places and two 3rd's.  The 2005 Season was a complete success for Rob.  Out of 12 events he won 9, came 2nd in the remaining 3.  He also set 6 new class records on the way to those victories.  He won the Bristol Speed Championship and came a very respectable 5th in the ASWMC Championship

In 2006 Rob has moved from sprints and hill climbs to full on circuit racing driving a Radical Clubsport which he competes in the Castle Combe Special GT's.

2007 was a very successful year for Rob which saw him take his maiden victory in the Castle Combe GT's.  A string of top 3 finishes enabled him to take a impressive 2nd place in the class B Championship.

2008 sees Rob competing in the Radical again aiming to improve on the previous seasons results.
